Whitelist for Caps Filter

Some emotes like Better TwitchTV emotes are totally in CAPS. These words are filtered by Caps Filter in Moderation section. Is it possible to add a word that Caps Filter ignores? A Whitelist for Caps moderation. AFAIK only Links can be whitelisted in PhantomBot atm.

Thanks for reply and help, Robert.

There is not a whitelist option, that would slow down the moderation module too much. The best bet is to relax the caps moderation. Right now there is a regular expression that checks the entire string for caps. Such a change would require to ignore (remove) parts of the input prior to the scanning for caps.

Another option is you can add a patch to the chatModerator.js that would ignore the caps moderation if an emote at all is seen - but keep in mind that if someone used emotes and used too many caps elsewhere, everything would be allowed – this should still be pulling in BTTV and FFZ emotes for scanning:

            // Caps filter
            if (capsToggle && messageLength >= capsTriggerLength && $.patternDetector.getEmotesCount(event) == 0) {
                if ((($.patternDetector.getNumberOfCaps(event) / messageLength) * 100) >= capsLimitPercent) {
                    if (!regulars.Caps && $.isReg(sender) || !subscribers.Caps && $.isSubv3(sender, event.getTags())) {

                    timeout(sender, warningTime.Caps, timeoutTime.Caps, silentTimeout.CapMessage, tags);
                    sendMessage(sender, capsMessage, silentTimeout.Caps);
