Phantombot database only works on a local installation

First hello to everyone. This is my first post

PhantomBot Version: 2.4.1
OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04 server
Java Version: openjdk version “1.8.0_171”
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_171-8u171-b11-0ubuntu0.16.04.1-b11)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.171-b11, mixed mode)
Browser and Version (for Panel Support): Google Chrome / Firefox latest
Stock PhantomBot: No

I´m able to run Phantombot on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04/16.04 without any problems as a local installation. Everything works fine. The imported database from my old local installation is shown with all entries.
Without any problems i can import the botlogin.txt and database file between different computers (no matter if it is Windows 10 or Ubuntu).

So, i tried to install Phantombot on a vServer with Ubuntu 16.04 Server. Cause i want to run the bot 24/7

I´m able to install and run the server without any problems.
But when i try to import the old database from my local installation, the bot starts with the informations provided in the botlogin.txt, i´m able to login, but the database is empty.

I followed these instructions:

Installing the bot

and even updating the bot

As i said; on a local computer everything works fine. But on the vServer the imported database is empty.

I´m getting nuts, cause i can´t find any reason why this will not work …

Thanks !!!

Found the solution.

I didn ´t activated all requiered ports on the vServers Firewall.

After searching the forum i found this.

It should be added to the Phantombot Installation Guide that on a remote server install the ports

25000 to 25005

must be opened to TCP Trafffic.

Adding this would save much time and headaches

I see this in the Ubuntu installation documentation:

  1. Opening the Panel Ports
    Enable the firewall.
    sudo ufw enable
    Allow SSH connections.
    sudo ufw allow 22
    Open the panel ports.
    sudo ufw allow 25000:25004/tcp

Is there something else that needs to be documented?
