Not able to add greeting while live

Greeting not added if im live when they input !greeting enable (message). works if im not live. is this a thing or is it just set up that way? its worked for several ppl while offline but have had it not work at all while im live.

seems to work fine for me (keep in mind i changed ! to ~ for my own build)

ok ic but idk

I can’t seem to make greetings work for me ether.

I have only tested in ‘Offline’-mode. Don’t know if that matters?

It respons fine to ‘!greeting enable test’ but no response to new chatteres at all.

Greetings only fire if the stream is online (and it takes Twitch 2-5 minutes to alert the API that the bot uses to indicate that it is online).

Okay, that explains it
Thanks.

/Michael.

what im saying is that people cant ENABLE they’re greeting unless im offline. so like if im live and they put (!greeting enable message) in my chat while im live it does nothing, but if i havn’t went live and they do it, it works.

didnt work i was online

There is not a check for online/offline in the command. Can you check the error log or stacktrace log for an error, perhaps the command is not finishing due to something else.

as of right now these are the only errors i have on several different days. so i think its actually not even registering the command. idk but in testing it works it seems to be a freak thing. idk

Let me also ask, because I notice it is missing,

Version of PhantomBot, OS, Java. You can get this when the bot boots up:

illusion% ./launch.sh

I can attempt to reproduce if I get the right version setup. I am running a Nightly Build.

its not really a biggie, i just wanted it to be known and see if others was having the same problem. i think it happens after the bot has posted to my twitter and discord and taken other commands. idk it seems to a freak thing that is random as i had a friend update his greeting while i was live the other day and it worked. idk ill try to look at the command line next time and see if it is just passing over the command.

ok so if any of yall are here im live and trying it its not working. you can come to my channel and try it yourself and see.

Sadly, I was asleep so I could catch a flight at 5:30am (had to get up at 1:40am). I will try to reproduce in that environment. I am on a trip this week, so it might be later in the week or next. Apologies for the delay.
